Musical Notes

Join us for an evening of Jewish chamber music and other favorites with Yaniv Dinur & Prometheus Trio featuring appearances by Ilana Setapen & Cantor Richard Newman.

Yaniv Dinur is the Associate Conductor of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the newly appointed Music Director of the New Bedford Symphony in Massachusetts. He made his conducting debut at the age of 19 with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, a performance that resulted in multiple return engagements with the NSO. Following his European debut, he was invited to perform with the Israel Camerata, making him the youngest conductor ever to conduct an orchestra in Israel.

Prometheus Trio is critically acclaimed year after year and currently embarking on its eighteenth season in residence at the Conservatory, its third with violinist Margot Schwartz joining founding members, Scott Tisdel & Stefanie Jacob. Prometheus continues its tradition of combining much loved chamber music classics with works that both challenge and excite the performers and their audience. Both Jacob and Tisdel are members of Sinai who share their musical gifts, most notably during Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur afternoon.
