Natalie Black

Natalie grew up in San Jose, California where she was very involved at her local reform Congregation, Temple Emanu-El. She spent her summers at URJ’s Camp Swig and Newman and was an active member of NFTY (The Reform Jewish Youth Movement), as the chair of the ritual committee. She attended a Jewish High School where she studied a double curriculum including Jewish History, Jewish Text, and conversational Hebrew. She dedicated much of her time studying the Holocaust in preparation for the March of the Living, an unforgettable experience of traveling with survivors to Poland and then to Israel. It was through these experiences that she formed a passion for Jewish education and found the importance of youth education.

In college, Natalie studied a variety of subjects with a focus on philosophy and religion. With work experience in teaching, supervising and project management, she has returned to the Jewish Community to pursue her passion and love for Judaism.

Natalie lives in Grafton with her husband, Ben, and their children Lilly, Adam and Miles. She and her family have found their home away from home at Congregation Sinai and enjoy being a part of the community.
