Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ramona Tenorio, PhD is a medical anthropologist, businesswoman, and nonprofit leader. She spent several years in academia, including being the first faculty member at the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In 2019, she started her research and evaluation consulting firm, Broader Impact, LLC. In 2021, she and a colleague co-founded and launched a Jewish non-profit, Tiyuv טִיוּב (“improvement” in Hebrew), a model and hub for Jews of Color (JOC)-led, culturally responsive evaluation (CRE) of Jewish community racial and social justice programs.

Ramona is a national speaker and has taught at all levels of education, from K-12 to medical residency programs. She has an unwavering commitment to the principles and values of anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion and has held several leadership positions in these spaces within healthcare, research, nonprofit, and academic settings. Her passion for justice draws inspiration, guidance, and direction from the Jewish ethos of Tikkun Olam. In addition to her service at Congregation Sinai, Ramona is a board member of Jewtina y Co, and Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Community Relations Council (JCRP).

Ramona enjoys the outdoors and resides in Brookfield, WI, with her husband, Victor Manuel Tenorio.
